David’s love for photography, film, design, art, music and D.I.Y. culture was fueled by his passion for BMX, so much so that after a short stint as a machinist, he walked out of Mechanical Engineering class at Purdue University to pursue photography. After receiving his associates degree & photographer of the year award from Prairie State College, he attended The School of The Art Institute of Chicago for photography & graphic design and was the recipient of the Merit Scholarship and Odyssey Travel Grant. David has also been a long-time contributor to the Glasgow/Belfast based DIG BMX magazine and still rides BMX. Over his career, David has worked with Nike, Adidas, Red Bull, NBC Sports—to name a few. Filmed documentaries in China, photographed & filmed many bands in Chicago and travels to Scotland every year… so he’s practically Scottish. David takes a hands-on approach to everything—whether it’s photographing a project, filming a sports commercial, designing a poster, fixing his car or tweaking computer hardware and software—David is a true renaissance man.
