PRODUCER

This person is highly organized and has amazing time management skills. They are responsible for coordinating and managing many aspects of an entire video production from start to finish. This person would be interacting directly with the client as well as the production crew. Great people skills are a must as well as a creative problem solver who can think on their toes.

EDITOR

A video editor is someone who is skilled in the art of storytelling through uniting pictures, sounds and special effects to ultimately produce a final version of a video. The role requires an abundance of creativity, vision and patience, as well as a keen eye in ensuring the original tone and storyline from the script are adhered to.

COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHER

This type of photographer takes photos for the purpose of highlighting a product or service. On top of having a creative eye, they would also have a great sense in lighting. This person would have an amazing attention to detail and the ability to direct talent in order to get the shot that represents the overall vision for the project.

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY (DP)

Directors of photography are responsible for the photographic heart of a production. They work closely with the director to discuss the look and feel of a film. They then research how to create the look through lighting, framing and camera movement and what they will need in terms of kit and crew to achieve this. This person will have a technical knowledge of cameras as well as have an in-depth understanding of lens, monitors and lights.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT (PA)

A production assistant supports the producer or director. They get the cast, crew and set ready for each day’s shoot. They help clearly communicate instructions from the director to the cast and crew. They will have a big roll in set up, tear down, running errands and gathering supplies.
